英文單字的「群組記憶法」

今天想分享一個常用的英文單字「群組記憶法」

本質上和字根、字首、字尾有一點類似，就是把單字「結尾相同」的單字，統統打包在一起，全部背下來




直接看實戰演練吧：

大家一定學過 plan 這個字

既然會了 plan，那麼，就可以順便學習 clan 和 flan

把這三個字排列如下，可以看到，單字最後的結尾，完全相同：
clan
flan
plan

如果從「字根、字首、字尾」的分析，clan, flan, plan 並沒有直接的關係，所以，「並不會」串在一起

只是，從背單字的角度來看，這幾個字實在長的太像了，一起記下來，其實很賺啊

順便看看 clan, flan 這二個字的英文說明和例句：

clan: (n) a large group of family
    The whole clan will visit Paris next month.

flan: (n) a piece of cake or pastry
    My wife loves eating flan.

學會以上的原則之後，我們馬上可以應用到別的單字上，例如：

cinder, tinder

cinder: (n) a piece of partly burned coal or wood
    Their house was burned to a cinder.

tinder: (n) something dry that burns easily
    They used some dry wood as tinder to light the campfire.

jingle, tingle

jingle: (v)  make a repeated ringing sound
    Keys jingled in his pocket.

tingle: (v) when you tingle with an emotion, you feel it strongly
My mind tingles with sorrow whenever I read that story.

draught, fraught

draught: (n) a system of storing and serving drinks from large containers, especially barrels
(adj) stored in and served from large containers, especially barrels:
    We love drinking draught beer.

特別注意二件事：
1. draught 的發音和 draft 一樣
2. 不要把 draught, drought, distraught 這三個字搞混了

drought: (n) a long period of dry wheather
    The drought reduced their harvest yield.

distraught: (adj) extremely nervous, upset, or worried
    She felt distraught about losing her job.

fraught: (adj) anxious
fraught with: full of unpleasant things such as problems or dangers:
    Their marriage if fraught with problems.
